Dan Lochner & Dan Meggitt Team
Endeavor - Everest 2004 North

Dispatch -
May 19 - Team Endeavor - Mount
Everest 2004
Dan climbed to the summit with Ang Mingma Sherpa, and
Man Bahadur Tamang. Man Bahadur reached the summit first, followed by Dan
Lochner, Ang Mingma and Dan Meggitt. They reached the summit at
approximately 10:45am on May 19.
Dan Lochner, who turned 22 on
May 12th, needs only Vinson Massif, a 16,077 ft mountain located 600 miles
from the South Pole in Antarctica, to become the world's youngest person to
make the seven summits. But he's got to be quick and go for Vinson this
November.
The current record for the
youngest 7 summiter belong to Japanese climber Atsushi Yamada, who completed
the feat at 23 years, 9 days.
More information and
photographs to follow once Team Endeavor re-establishes contact from Advanced
Base Camp.
