Dave Hahn summits Everest for his 5th time, Jake Norton conducts research: IMG Mount Everest 2004 North side

Update 5/26/2004: "Dave Hahn and Jake Norton report that they have successfully reached Kathmandu, Nepal after their expedition on the Tibet Side of Mt. Everest. Hahn, from Taos, NM made his fifth successful ascent of Mt. Everest on May 20, 2004 climbing with Da Nuru Sherpa (his fifth ascent) and Tashi Tseri Sherpa (his tenth ascent).  Norton, from Denver, CO and a two time Everest summiter, chose to conduct research rather than going to the summit again.  He now becomes the first individual to have visited all pre-modern era Mt. Everest high camps (British '24, '33, '38 and Chinese '60,'75). The expedition was organized by Eric Simonson and International Mountain Guides of Ashford, WA and was conducted under permit from the Chinese Mountaineering Association.  Hahn, a frequent contributor to Outside magazine, will write about this year's season on Everest in a forthcoming issue."
