Update 9/12/2004: Everyone is back in base camp. Some
climbers have made 6600 meters, but it is hard going. It appears 2 Russians
climbers has arrived. Unclear how the Sherpas are doing fixing the rope...
Sander and Ruby also in ABC
Sander and Ruby have also
arrived in the afternoon in ABC. The Sherpas are working on the ropes. It has
been nice but now it snows enormously. The plan is still Sunday or Monday to
move to 7000 meters.
On the Tibet Side of Everest, a Dutch Team will attempt the mountain.
