Tomorrow, we will climb to
sleep at Camp 2. We will spend four or five nights up there. We plan to
sleep on the 18th at Camp 2. On the 19th we will climb to Camp 3 to finish
fixing the necessary lines up to 7,400 meters. That same day we plan to
install two tents that high and to descend to sleep at Camp 2. On the 20th we
will be resting at Camp 2 at 6,400 meters of altitude and on the 21st, if we
feel fine, we will climb to sleep at Camp 3 at 7,400 meters.

We've been having meetings
between leaders of different expeditions for several days, trying to organize
to install the lines from Camp 2 to Camp 3. Almost everybody agrees to send
two of our Sherpas with ropes to be fixed on the 18th. Only the Sherpas of
our expedition and the Greek's could make it to Camp 2 yesterday. It was
supposed that the Sherpas of two more groups would climb today with material
to fix the lines, but a landslide on the icefall blocked the way to Camp 1, so
part of the material and human labor to fix the lines was delayed for a day.
They will climb tomorrow in the morning, the same as us. The Khumbu icefall
has been fixed and the pass cleared.
José Luis, who usually
informs about our progress while se are up there, went for a little walk of
five days around Chukung with some friends, so you will not get news from us
until we come back.
So long!!
