Members of the expedition:

Damián Redmond, 36 years old, chief of the expedition

Victor Hugo Herrera, 38

Miguel Lofti, 33

Horacio Cunietti, 37

Fabián Iribas, 39

Alfredo E. Magnani, 73, honorary chief at home

They arrived to their Base Camp (4650 m.) on April 15, via Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi, Katmandu, Pokhara and Jomson.

They joined a Basque and a Catalan expedition there. There is also a Slovenian expedition and they report that Alan Hinkes, British, who has 12 of 14 eight-thousand meter peaks, will climb to join them soon.  They had their Puja on the 18th and began installing the fixed lines the next day.  They had bad weather for several days and they were concerned that the mountain is different from what they had seen in pictures, so they didn't know if the lines they had were going to be enough.  By May 3 they had gone as far as Camp 3, but the bad weather made them climb down.

On May 6 they report they made two teams:

Argentinean team: Horacio Cunietti, Víctor Herrera, Miguel Lotfi and Fabián Iribas.

Mixed team: Damián Redmond, Xavi Arias, Agustí Torrents
