The Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation has
granted permission to 40 different teams for carrying
out mountaineering expedition for 16 different mountains
from 18 different countries of the world from January to
March 2004. Eleven mountaineering teams have been given
permission to climb the world highest peak Mt. Everest
(8848 m). Likewise, four mountaineering teams have been
given permission to climb Lhotse (8516 m), four
mountaineering teams have been given permission to climb
Mt. Pumori (7161 m), three teams for Mt. Makalu (8463
m), six teams for Mt. Amadablam (6812 m), two teams for
Mt. Baruntse (7129 m), one team for Mt. Yalung kang
(8505 m), one team for Lhotse Shar (8400 m), one team
for Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), one team for Manaslu (8163
m), one team for Kumbakarna (7710 m), one team for
Annapurna IV (7525 m), one team for Kabru (7318 m), one
team for Domekhan (7264 m), one team for Ratna Chuli
(7128 m) & one team for Tengi Ragi Tau (6948 m).
