5/5/2004: Today we are packing the equipment from the base camp expecting a helicopter for Kathmandu

The last morning on the mountain is passing in packing the personal and mountaineering equipment. Dragan has been much better this morning because he slept and ate, but assuredly we are going to put him on an X-ray machine and a scanner as early as today. However, we should correct an imprecision from the previous news, caused by the misunderstanding of the incomplete news coming from the mountain. Namely, Dragan and Milos did not form C-2 the day before yesterday. Some 50m of a snowy slope (the slant is 45 degrees) were between them and their goal. Milos had already climbed the edge of the slope when Dragan fell through the crevice. The height was about 6.000m (nobody was interested in looking at the altimeter at that moment).
