Dutch Mt Everest 2004 Expedition Dispatch

Wilco van Rooijen, Rex Snelder went up and stay for the night. Tomorrow Rex will celebrate his birthday with a new personal height record. They will try to climb above 8000 meters. Then they will return to ABC. Ron Doorakkers felt very tired and sick. He did not climb to camp 3 but decided to go back to ABC. Dawa sherpa assisted Wilco and Rex with camp 3 and went back to Northcol and later on to ABC.

Wilco van Rooijen announced last week he will attempt Mt Everest from the North side in spring 2004 without oxygen. He will go with Rex Snelders (attempt on Manaslu 2003) and possibly Ron Doorakkers (McKinley 2003) then descend with a paraglider from the summit!!
