CLIMBERS JUAN ANTONIO HUISA AND
PEDRO LOPEZ ARRIVED TO CHILE WITH A DELAY
First steps of Andalucía-Antarctica
Expedition
The climbers of CD Siete
Cumbres, Juan Antonio Huisa and Pedro López left with a delay of two hours
towards Barajas Airport. Such delay made them lose the next flight to
Santiago, Chile, and they had to spend the 4th in Madrid.
Finally they left to Chile at
23_40, and after a long flight of 13 hours, they landed on Santiago Airport on
December 5.
The climbers have been just
one day in the Chilean capital to make the last paperwork and then they headed
south, towards Temuco, 675 Km. to the south of Santiago. From there they will
travel to the little city of Pucón, where Villarica Volcano is located (2,840
m.), being this the first important destination, because they will climb to
its summit to warm up before they definitive flight to the Antarctic continent
and to look for the summit of its roof, Mount Vinson.
