K2 2004 - 50 years later

K2 South Home sweet home we're returning.

Everything is almost ready for the return home:  Base camp has been dismantled; " baggage is all packed, tomorrow we await the porters.

Some of our climbers are already on their way back, trekking: today the first aid helicopter transported those climbers who were in need of medical assistance to Concordia.  They will then be immediately flown on to Skardu.

The Italian K2 2004 expedition camp will soon be deserted, the same way it was found by the first group of the expedition who arrived here on June 1st.
