K2 south: a day's rest due to bad weather:

After several days of intense climbing activity and given the very bad current weather situation, our team allows themselves a morning to relax. "The mountain seems to be accessible as far as reaching the height quotas is concerned, but we can certainly perceive  the possible weather difficulties higher up," explains Gianprietro Verza.

"This morning I went all the way to the spur under the Magic Line.  It was very beautiful!" explains Serafino Ripamonti, "But given the weather conditions in general, this is a good time to reorganize our gear".

Reaching camp III in the past few days is an important step for the team, who plans to depart to try again as soon as the weather conditions stabilize.
