 K2 Window open, but tensions HIGH. | ||||||

| The weather has cleared, just as Pakistan Meteorological Dept, Senior Meteorologist had predicted. The Pakistan Meteorological Dept, Senior Meteorologist predictions this year has been right on, as they were in the past. Sadly, some others forecasts have not been, and this has caused some climbers to waste a lot of time and energy. These bad forecasts has also caused some climbers to end up in the wrong place and unprepared now that the window is open. Oh well, best to check out things well before you use them.... The Pakistan Meteorological Dept, Senior Meteorologist is now predicting a short window of maybe as long as 5-6 days. Many expeditions are out of time and some out of energy. Therefore some expeditions will be leaving. Tensions are running at an all time high on K2. There are more climbers on K2 than ever before. Now they see a window but most are not prepared to push to the summit, because high camps are not in. Several have sent in dispatches criticizing one another. We will publish these dispatches and their counter dispatches when sent in. Sadly, Tension is high....some climbers are just pissed off at one another.... and the voices in the dispatches will show it... Consider that as you read these dispatches... We will update all weekend as it appears several will try for the top.... Snow conditions are bad, as some Sherpa are stating it is very dangerous in calls home. But it is the 50th, and some climbers will have a go for it.... Expect a wild next few days...
